One Friday I didn't have anything to do so I took a friend, who had been in America for several months but never outside of Pasadena and Hollywood, up to Santa Barbara for a few hours so that he could see that there is more to California than those two places. We went to Cities Barbecue for lunch. I had the chopped pork sandwich. I really liked it. The bun was a bit too dense, but the pork was really good, the mustard sauce was great, and the slaw was solid. I doubt I'll ever go to Cities Barbecue again (when I visit Santa Barbara it's not usually with another guy) but I'm glad I went once.
