Nick at Fenway

My buddy Nick, who moved to Boston last year, sent me a picture from his phone last month that I had to post, from a Sunday afternoon game at Fenway Park. My thoughts on the Red Sox have been documented and do not need to be repeated here. I love this photo.

Take away the lights and it could be 1919. Take away all the players who aren't white on the Red Sox and it could have been 1959. (The Red Sox were the last team in baseball to integrate, almost 50 years to the day before this photo was taken.)

I love day games. If someone a century from now does a sequel to Ken Burns' Baseball, this photo would not be out of place.
